Hi, I’m Dr. Maxine Crossman.
I’m a licensed clinical psychologist with over ten years of experience working with adolescents and adults. I specialize in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and approach therapy as an opportunity to empower others to meet their goals, develop their strengths, align with their values, and live their lives in a fulfilling and meaningful way.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Maryland, College Park and my master’s and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from La Salle University. I completed my clinical internship at Lehigh University Counseling and Psychological Services. In addition to private practice, I have received extensive training in a range of other settings, including community mental health centers, college counseling centers, schools, and residential treatment centers.
My areas of expertise include but are not limited to anxiety, OCD, depression, and maternal mental health.
My Therapeutic Approach
My therapeutic work is grounded in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), an evidence-based and solution-focused approach. CBT focuses on developing a deeper understanding of our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in order to develop insight and guide change.
My therapeutic style is warm, open, and collaborative. I prioritize building a strong therapeutic relationship and creating a space that feels safe, supportive, and empowering.

I am currently licensed in Florida, New York, and Massachusetts.
I am also a member of the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT) which authorizes me to practice telehealth in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Washington DC, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
